Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Facebook Peace

According to a Technolog post from Helen A.S. Popkin, we have only two more days to comment on Facebook changes to the "Privacy Policy", now retitled as the "Data Use Policy."  I was particularly struck by a phrase that Popkin also bolded.
"When you or others who can see your content and information use an application, your content and information is shared with the application."
I'm glad Facebook finally just came out and said it, but it's still unsettling. Facebook friends who make less than savvy decisions about sharing their own information can also share my content and information? How much transparency do you *really* want for yourself on social networks, especially if this can be used by third party application providers who access your friends' information and friends list?
